Umpire Selection for the World Championships – Germany 2019

If you are interested in having your name submitted to the ITF Umpire Committee for selection as an Umpire A for the World Championships in Germany in April 2019 then please send a completed umpire application form (see the Rules section on the ITF website for a copy of the form), picture (head shot) and an information sheet outlining your previous experience as an Umpire, to Master Scott Downey CTFI Umpire Director at scott.downey@nl.rogers.com  by December 1st 2018. The CTFI board of directors will then decide on who they will include on the Canadian Umpire List, depending on their experience and training.  The CTFI will then send “one” completed umpire registration form to the ITF Umpire Director (Master Katz). The ITF Umpire Committee then decides on who they will accept as an Umpire A for Germany. Of note is that getting accepted as an Umpire A for a World Championship event has become increasingly competitive. During the selection process for the World Championship in Ireland in 2017, 40 applicants were denied.  However, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Good luck to all applicants.
