CATT-Concussion Awareness Training Tool

The CTFI is proud to become registered with the CATT – Concussion Awareness Training Tool.  The CTFI Board of Directors has voted that this training will be mandatory for all Coaches and Umpires.

There are two separate online courses, one for Coaches and one for Parents/Caregivers. Each takes approximately 45 mins to an hour to complete, and is free of charge.  All instructors and parents are encouraged to take this.

Here are the steps to take in order to complete the CATT, which is available in English and French:

  1. Take the course:
  2. Once the course is complete, you will be prompted to fill in your personal information to receive your certificate (name, email, province, etc.). In the drop-down menu for Organization, please select “Canadian Taekwon-Do Federation International.”
  3. Press “Generate Certificate.” A pop-up window with your certificate will appear.
  4. You will receive an email notifying you that you have completed the course, the date you completed it, and a PDF of your certificate for your records. CTFI Headquarters (Ms. Stone) will also receive an email of each completed certificate.

A copy of  the information packages for both Coaches and Parents are attached below.  Every club should have copies of these available, with extra report forms on hand in the event there is an injury.
