Dear Masters, Instructors and Athletes,
We would like to provide you with advance notification of the timing and location for the National Team Training Camp which will be in preparation for the World Championships in Germany in April 2019.
The dates will be January 11 – 13, 2019 and will be held at Édouard-Montpetit College, 945 Chambly Road, Longueuil, QC J4H 3M6. A complete schedule will be provided to the individuals invited to the training camp after the 2018 Nationals are complete.
During the CTFI National Championships, we would ask all 1st place winners in the Junior and Senior categories who intend to accept their place on the National Team to go see Mr. Richard Nguyen at the Team registration table immediately after their division is completed, to register and receive the information package regarding the World Championships .
The final cut for 2nd spot will be held during the National training camp. The selection committee will invite additional athletes to the training to try out for this second spot. If you are not selected and wish to try out for the 2nd spot, please go see Mr. Richard Nguyen at the Team registration and fill out the application of interest. The selection committee will consider your application and advise you if you are invited to the the National training camp in the week following the Nationals.
All 1st place winners at the Nationals and invited athletes to the training camp must attend the camp to secure their spot on the team. If there are extenuating circumstances that limit you from attending the training camp, you must apply to the selection committee with your reason to be considered.
