The new selection process:
The 1st place winner at the National Championships would be selected to Team Canada for their respective individual category. The 2nd athlete for the individual category would be selected by the selection committee which would consist of the following:
President
Technical Director
Chief of Delegation
Head Coach
This selection would be made during the National training camp from individuals who have been invited to the training by the selection committee. These invitees would be comprised of promising athletes who placed well at the National Championships as well as athletes who were unable to attend the Nationals with a valid reason given to the selection committee prior to the Nationals event.
The above was approved by the CTFI Directors. Master Reinelt will update the Tournament manual.
