Remembering General Choi

Dear CTFI Members,

Hope everyone is in good health!

It has been 19 years since the passing of the Founder of Taekwon-Do, General Choi Hong Hi on June 15th 2002. Time goes by fast, but we cannot forget what General Choi left behind for us and society.

General Choi dedicated his life to the development of his Martial Art of Taekwon-Do for all to benefit. The new generation of Taekwon-Do students would not of had the opportunity to meet the Founder in person,

Therefore, the responsibility lies on the shoulders of our Seniors Black belts who knew and learnt from him directly to pass on his teachings and philosophy.

As President of the CTFI and Senior VP of the ITF, I am honored to have met and assisted General Choi in seminars around the World. The CTFI is very proud to have members on many of the ITF committees. It shows that Canada’s members are working hard to protect and develop ITF Taekwon-Do and General Choi’s legacy.

On this day, I would like to remind you to appreciate the life work of General Choi Hong Hi and think about what benefits or accomplishments you achieved from his teachings.

Forever in our Hearts,

Master C. Norman
