“International Women’s Day” was first recognized on March 8, 1914 and over 100 years later this important tradition continues. This year’s theme is “ Choose To Challenge”.
We celebrate this special day by highlighting the achievements of women who have made a difference in history by opening up a world of possibilities to young women.
This movement paved the way to acknowledge and raise awareness about women’s equality.
In 2021 the Canadian Taekwon-Do Federation International choose to challenge by creating the “CTFI Women’s committee” thanks to the initiative taken by Master Cathy Downey and Ms. Brandi Merritt.
A team of seven women from across Canada have been carefully selected to be part of this committee. The CTFI Board of Directors and its members are proud to support the continued progress and successes
of all women in Canada.
