On January 31st, the 7th Hybrid National Umpire Course (Class C) took place.
Presented both online and in person at the Pacific Rim Institute of Taekwon-Do in Port Coquitlam, BC, the course welcomed over 70 participants from colored belt to 9th degree representing clubs across Canada.
Led by the CTFI Umpire Committee Master Chris Law, Mr. Maxime Lavoie, Mr. Jeff Turchyn, and Ms. Valérie Gingras Précourt—the course covered all facets of competition, including the updated pattern rules, in preparation for the upcoming North American Championships and World Cup. For the first time, this course was offered not only to black belts, but also to colour belts, parents, and supporters.
Thank you to everyone who attended. Together, we continue to raise the standard of officiating nationwide.
