CTFI Regional Instructors Meeting – British Columbia & Alberta

On Wednesday June 25th , over 35 masters and instructors from across British Columbia and Alberta participated in a regional meeting led by Master Brandi Merritt, Vice-President West of the Canadian Taekwon-Do Federation International (CTFI) Also representing the Executive Team was Master Kevin Reinelt, Tournament Director and Master Chris Law, Umpire Director.

The meeting provided important updates on current CTFI initiatives, developments in the Atlantic provinces, and upcoming plans to support continued growth across the country. It also served as an open forum, allowing instructors to share news, raise questions, and discuss regional concerns in a collaborative setting.

We would also like to thank all masters and instructors for their ongoing dedication and leadership within their communities and across the national Taekwon-Do landscape.

Additionally, Master Hal Lipscombe will be conducting a review of the CTFI bylaws to ensure they continue to align with the organization’s evolving needs and long-term vision.

📬 Reminder: The CTFI Member Survey is open until Saturday, June 28. We encourage all members to participate — your feedback is essential in shaping the future of the CTFI. A summary of the survey results will be shared with members next week.

📆 Going forward, these regional meetings will be held on a quarterly basis to ensure continued communication, transparency, and collaboration across the western provinces.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this productive and engaging session.
