The Panamerican Taekwon-Do Federation held it’s first PanAmericano E-Tournament offering events in many categories for ages 10+, green belt and above. These events included Individual Patterns, Team Patterns and Team Pre-Arranged Sparring. This E-Tournament played host to participants from 22 countries, 85 member clubs, 506 competitors. A special thank you goes out to the organizing committee and the umpires who made this event possible, especially during these challenging times.
Canada had great participation
from 13 member clubs and 102 competitors. Canada
finished 2ND overall in this e-tournament with a total of 42
medals consisting of 13 Gold, 11 Silver and 18 Bronze. Congratulations to
all of the winners and to all of the athletes who participated in this
event, representing their country, their club and themselves. Alot of hard work
and training went into their training in a short amount of time.
The ITF also launched a new program over a year ago called the Adapted Program
offering classes and instruction for students with certain disabilities, being
it physical, cognitive, genetic or acquired. This E-Tournament also provided
athletes of the Adapted Program the opportunity to compete in a demonstration
event. We are very proud to congratulate Mr. Darryl Andaya of DSA Royal
International Taekwon-Do for his performance and participation in this event!
